MUS 133 Rock Appreciation
An introductory course in music that traces the origins and history of rock music, from blues to modern day styles. This course will explore the musical and cultural impact that rock has had on society. Emphasis on listening will be used to acquire an understanding of the various styles and musical influences on rock music. The study of early blues and rock & roll from the 1950's will highlight the multicultural aspect of rock's beginnings.
