READ 512 Advanced Literacy Assessment
A study of formal and informal assessments used by reading specialists as part of literacy and reading intervention programs. Candidates will administer and score normal referenced standardized assessments and informal reading assessments. Candidates will create detailed narrative assessment reports with qualitative and quantitative analysis of collected data. Special emphasis will be placed on the comparison of available assessment instruments and the development of literacy intervention plans. Candidates will also plan for instruction of deficits in working memory, attention, executive function, and processing speed.
