MATH 130 College Algebra with Applicati

An applications-oriented study of algebra. Topics include the graphs and properties of polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, along with their associated equations and inequalities; introduction to sequences and geometric series with application to financial mathematics; matrix arithmetic and Gauss-Jordan elimination with application to linear programming, systems of equations, and Markov chains. Open to Elementary Education majors and Business majors only. Pre-req: Math ACT 21 or SAT 500; 5 credit hour. No pre-req.
