EDUC 200 Introduction to Teaching
This introductory course is designed to prepare pre-service teachers for teaching careers and give an orientation to the profession as it has developed historically and in contemporary times. Emphasis is on planning, designing, and implementing effective teaching practices and will provide education majors an opportunity to view the field of education from a broad historical, social, and philosophical perspective. Field site visits will be an integral part of the course. The goal of the course is to provide pre-service teachers with an opportunity to develop and display competence in the North Dakota Code of Ethics.
