ENG 243 Literature through the Professional Lens

This course will answer the question “What can you do with an English major?” It will do so by providing students the tools to apply skills learned in literature classes to professional settings by reading select works of literature and a variety of professional texts; applying ethical challenges presented in literature to professional settings; writing in a variety of professional genres; and deploying research skills to solve professional problems. Students will also survey the professional landscape open to those with an English major.
