SCI 0980 Anatomy & Physiology Preparation
This preparatory course is to help students become familiar with terms and basic concepts they will find later in the SCI1200 Anatomy and Physiology I course. This course is for students who lack the appropriate science background to be successful in Anatomy and Physiology. Topics include levels of organization of the human organism, homeostasis and control systems. General chemistry topics include an introduction to atoms, chemical bonds, water, acids, and bases. Organic chemistry topics include organic compounds, chemical reactions, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. Other topics include cell structure and function and a brief overview of the organs and systems of the human organism. 3 Cr Hrs. Course Requirements: None
