Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Find and use descriptive and numerical statistics (using such items as graphs and frequency tables, measures of central tendency and measures of variance, z-scores, etc.) to explore and analyze data.
2. Solve basic probability problems, including finding probability, and applying counting principles.
3. Design a statistical experiment.
4. Collect, organize, present, summarize, describe, analyze, and draw inferences from data.
5. Read, analyze and write critiques of statistical studies
6. Use software packages and calculators for statistics.
7. Choose the correct statistical tools for decision making.
8. Use z, t, and chi-square distributions appropriately.
